A Prescribed burn for RWV is scheduled to take place November 2007, when weather conditions are optimal. The burn will happen around the water retention areas. Workers will walk the area with a drip torch to burn off a layer of vegetation. This burning will promote the development of the native vegetation. The burn will be completed in approximately 10 hours.

The Police and Fire departments will be given a 24-hour notice prior to the burn.
